I still enjoy some of it. I have a modest collection of the toys and a few videos. I thought it was brilliant how they attempted to make quality transforming toys that incorporated the “digivolutions.” I just wish I had not passed up the chance to get one of the original digivices when they were on clearance at the toy store. Back then, I laughed at them because they weren’t as appealing as a different version of “gigapet.” I thought they were sloppy seconds. Then, someone turned that crappy clone into a franchise. And, the cartoons became as engaging as they were groan-worthy with all of the constant need for more power to beat ever stronger enemies (reminiscent of Power Rangers and the like).
