As I write this I am listening to me and my dear friend Paul Macauley talk. I recently had the privilege of joining him on his podcast Creative Loving Spirit. It’s a privilege because it’s not often I get to talk about art and my blog to people, and speaking to someone like Paul who asks good questions is quite joyful.
So please listen, I hope you enjoy and don’t just listen to my one, there is a whole series to fill your ear holes with!
That was wonderful. Thank you for sharing. I like what you had to say about a daily practice and art becoming an integral part of life, and that drawing is a skill that anyone can learn. It reminded me of something I came across in my summer reading. From Ursula K. LeGuin in “The Dispossessed”:
“art was not considered as having a place in life, but as being a basic technique of life.”

I’m really glad you enjoyed it, and also very chuffed to be in such good company as the inestimable Ms. LeGuin
