This is the most challenging message that you’ve produced. I can’t find a direct reference to the quote – the closest is the Biblical “There is no greater sacrifice than to lay down your life for a friend.” That resonates with the pose, but I infer from the hair that when a woman makes that sacrifice, she goes unrecognized. That is true of many men as well. What distinguishes Christ is then only his stated intention? And the demonstration of the resurrection, of course.

I may be too testy. What it took to create our opportunities is often overlooked. Conditions were far harder in the past, and those that suffered for our benefit should be recognized by our gratitude?
