Today Daily Doodle is 3 years old, which means that I have been posting a picture a day for the last 1,095 day. To celebrate three years of doodling I made a thing. To be more specific I made an art book.
If you have been with me for the last 3 years, you will know that one of the subjects my doodles keep coming back to are mountains. Mountain Faces is dedicated to my love of mountains. For the last 4 years I have posted a drawing a day, everyday on my online blog. ‘Sitting like a mountain’ has become key to this practice. Mountain Faces is a short expression of this. It’s small, it’s short and it’s sweet. Proving that art doesn’t have to be worthy to be worth sharing.
To mark 3 years and the release of the book I will be giving away some prizes to followers. I want to make a Q & A session and I would love to include questions from yourself below. All you have to do is follow the Daily Doodle blog and post a question to me below. You cold win a signed copy of Mountain Faces or one of the original drawings. Get your questions in by Midnight on Sunday (GMT) for a chance to win. You can pose more than one question, and if you do that be sure to leave one comment per question to make it easier when I do the blind picking.
As a sneak preview here’s a hill, that looks a bit like a bum. How cheeky!
Do you have a daily creative practice? Then I would love to hear from you! Comment below or tag me on Twitter or Instagram
Whence arises your affinity for puns?

And if I don’t win does that mean that I’ll be “bummed out.”

May I start referring to you as an artist?

Is your book your first commercial endeavor?

You have presented works in diverse media. Do you have “phases” like Picasso (not a comparison, just a convenient referent) or do you make your choice each day when you sit down to work?

You adopt themes from others, but they have also been evident as psychological moods and topical interests. Do you have a journal or diary that captures those personal inspirations?

Did you find it easy to find a blog ‘theme’ to suit the doodling content of your blog?

Loved hearing your voice on the interview featured on your blog with the guy who gave a rather long introduction … ha ha. Get a sense of who you are as a result of the interview. It helps to get an idea about your personality. Gave me an idea for my blog …

How has the rigor of daily postings affected your range of creativity? I have seen a wide variety in topics and techniques since I have been following you. Are any of these style been the result of having a daily discipline?
